Welcome to Wellington

A unique equestrian community in a peaceful suburban setting
Located just a few miles west of West Palm Beach, Wellington is an upscale, ritzy village that earned a place in the 2019 Money Magazine's list of 100 best places to live in the U.S.

Thrillingly, Wellington is an internationally recognized global hot spot for equestrian community and events. Having earned this status, the city hosts the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF), which runs for 12 weeks — the world's most famous and longest horse show held from January through April.

An even more exhilarating social scene complements this luxurious equestrian community. Wellington has nothing amiss, whether it's the best schools for your kids, parks for family outdoor activities, or high-end dining and shopping spots.

What to Love

  • Equestrian sports
  • A suburban and family-friendly ambiance
  • Bustling with events and festivals
  • Many A-rated schools
  • A lot of wildlife and lakes

Local Lifestyle

Being a suburb of Fort Lauderdale, the Wellington neighborhood offers a quiet, sparse, and classy suburban feel. The tropical climate has excellent weather throughout the year. There is a lot of wildlife, especially for those who live near lakes. The equestrian lifestyle makes it attractive to equestrian celebrities and an international destination, particularly during the WEF. The many A-rated schools further make this upscale community an excellent place to raise a family.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Though a small city, Wellington is not short of luscious places to eat, shop, or enjoy top-notch entertainment. Start with visiting The Mall at Wellington Green. After you finish viewing and shopping for the latest products in the high-end shops, locate one of the many upscale eateries within the mall matching your taste to grab your favorite dish. And if you had come together with family or friends, you might want to enjoy the movie together. Have kids under ten? Take them to Kid's Club inside the mall for creative learning, kids' entertainment, and more.

Are you looking for some of the best Italian cuisines in the town? The live cooking, signature wood-fired pizza, and more traditional Italian recipes at Piatto Bravo are sure to please. Alternatively, visit Agliolio Italian Bistro & Bar for hand-selected wines, hand-crafted salads, and exceptional Italian tastes by well-known chefs.

Do you want to reserve a dinner table for a fabulous Friday night date with your spouse or partner? You will love the menu with endless options Kaluz Restaurant has for you. And when you're craving to have some fantastic Peruvian food or seafood, the multigenerational family-owned restaurant, 561 Ceviche, will please you.

Things to Do

If you plan to live in Wellington, you'll be among the lucky few that won't need to travel to experience some of the most amazing local and international attractions this classy village has in store.

As expected, the state-of-the-art equestrian center is the first place many people like to go once in Wellington. The Palm Beach International Equestrian Center is a spectacular venue featuring over 18 competition arenas for equestrian sports, such as show jumping and dressage.
The International Gay Polo Tournament held at the International Polo Club Beach is another no-miss festival. Attracting many celebrities and international visitors, the five days of celebrations is an admirable rejuvenating opportunity for you.
Don't forget to mark the Wellington Bacon & Bourbon Fest dates. The eclectic bacon menu filled with culinary pleasures and an assortment of over 30 bourbons and whiskeys at this two-day event has no match.

If you have a family with kids, they'll thank you a thousand times for bringing them to Lakeside Market at Wellington Town Center during one of the weekend events. You'll enjoy the music as you watch the sunset by the water while sipping a beer or two in this laid-back, family-friendly, and dog-friendly venue. There's also a playground for children.
